Halloween Fun

We have been having fun getting ready for and celebrating Halloween!! But as usual these pictures are out of order because I forget you can't place the pictures wherever you want them. If you know of a way to insert a picture between two you've already posted let me know!! Anyway...Here are pictures of our fun!

Here is our cute little Owen in his "costume."

Every year we have an annual Halloween party with my family. This year it was at my sister, Kelli's house. This is a "game" I've never seen before...Kelli and Jeff got this idea from America's Funniest Home Videos. They wrapped the kids in saran wrap and then put them all on the trampoline and the last one standing wins! Ian and Caden didn't last long stuck together. We wrapped them individually after they fell down and couldn't get back up.

Talk about claustrophobia!!!
Kelli wrapping Alli. Alli would do well in a stait jacket!

Yummy donuts! The kids ended up with glaze all over their faces and hair.

Bobbing for apples...very unsanitary! We are just working on strengthening our kids' immune systems!

After the pumpkin patch, we all carved our pumpkins and the kids added paint to theirs. Alli and Caden carved theirs all by themselves.

Matt covered the kitchen floor with a huge sheet of plastic and let them go at it...it was a huge mess when we were all done. But they had fun!

Three ghosts!

Halloween is so fun!

He's Here!!!

Our sweet Owen Thomas Wilson is finally here! After a month of wondering if I was really in labor, should we got to the hospital or not, if we have him now will he be healthy, will we make it to the hospital in time?...etc...my doctor decided to start me on Oct. 20th. But Owen didn't want to wait that long. Owen was born on October 16th at 8:00 in the morning. He weighed 6lbs 5 oz. and is 19 inches long. And after all our worrying about his health he came out screaming and perfect! He is such a sweet baby and none of us can get enough of him. He is more entertaining to us than any tv show and the kids love to narrate his every action and facial expression. It's a constant fight over who gets to hold him next. We had so many visitors at the hospital and so much support from Matt's and my parents who took our other three kids while we were in the hospital. Thank you!!
For the whole three days of having four kids, I couldn't ask for a better situation. It hasn't been overwhelming...yet! The older three are such a good help and very indpendent when it comes to their own needs. Matt and I feel so blessed to have 4 such great kids!
Owen didn't really like his first bath :(

He did like laying under the heating lamps though :)
Getting ready to come home...Owen just sat and listened to Matt's and my voice. He has done this several times. It's really cute...he just looks around and listens to us talk to him.
Alli holding Owen for the first time. He is lucky to have such a wonderful "second mom."

Caden holding Owen for the first time. Caden is so gentle and good with Owen.

Taylor holding Owen...with mom's help. He's still a little unsteady with him, but can't wait for him to get big enough to play with. He has tried to give him toys to play with several times. His favorite thing to do is kiss him. He's constantly asking if he can give Owen a kiss. One thing is for sure...this baby is not going to be short of any love!!!

Owen's coming home outfit.

Finally home!!! Owen looked so tiny in his carseat! We were so happy to get home and be together as a family again. It's amazing how much love one tiny baby can bring into a home. We love our little Owen!!

Back On Track!

When it comes to summer I don't love year round school, but during the year it can be really nice! Our kids have been off track for the last three weeks and we had A LOT of fun!! Here is what we did!

My aunt and uncle have a time share at Snowbird and they let us have it for a week because they went on vacation somewhere else. It just so happened that our kids were off track at that time so it worked out perfectly. It was so pretty up there this time of year and perfect weather! Thanks Nancy and Terry!!

Matt took the kids on a hike while we were there. You can sort of see the hotel we stayed in in the background.

They had a heated outdoor pool the kids loved!

One day while our husbands were at work, my friend Brooke and her kids came up and went swimming and played at the fun playground. We also went for a walk and the kids spent the next hour throwing rocks in a river...why is that so entertaining for kids?
Here is Brooke in the awesome swings they had there! They were really fun! The kids loved them...when Brooke would let them have a turn that is :)
We also went to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden with Brooke and her kids. Once again we had perfect weather and a lot of fun.

My sister Kelli, my mom, and I all got together and made rasberry jam. YUMMY!
My sister Cadie and her daughter Brie flew out for the Women's Conference and while they were here we went to Gardner Village and saw the witches. If you've never been there this is a really fun time to visit. This is a picture of Alli and Brie...Alli LOVES Brie!
Caden and Taylor throwing rocks and apples into the river at Gardner Village.
One day we made Halloween sugar cookies...it was extremely messy but lots of fun!
Now we know where Caden learned his gang signs from.

Our ward's Elders Quorum party was held at Kangaroo Zoo. The kids loved it though they all came home with burns on their arms from sliding.

Last, but not least, when we weren't running around the kids kept busy by making forts on the boy's bunk beds. It was so fun to have the kids home and not have a schedule or homework to worry about. We all really enjoyed this time together.
