End of baseball season! :(

I wrote this post yesterday before Caden's last game...or so I thought. To my happy surprise, Caden's team gets to go to the playoffs. So one more week of baseball (unless they lose of course). It has been so fun to watch Caden and Taylor play this year. They both did really well and I will really look forward to it again next year!!! One serious ball player!
Almost caught that one!

This picture was taken after running home in the rain after Taylor's last game. Matt, Caden, and I had fun running through the POURING rain...the others, not so much! It came down so fast and hard that we got soaked in the short jaunt from the park to our house. Fun times!

Nine!!!!

In May we celebrated Alli's 9th birthday. I can't believe my little girl is that old!!! For her birthday we went shopping and had so much fun together! I'm glad I have one daughter to have girl time with!! Then we got to celebrate with our good friends, the Lallatins. We haven't seen them for 2 years, but they got to come to Utah for a visit and it just happened to be the weekend of Alli's birthday. They came to Kangaroo Zoo with us, had a BBQ, and the girls got to sleep over. It was sooooo fun to see them again!!! We really miss having them as neighbors!! Alli also got to celebrate her birthday at my parents house and again at Matt's parents house on Memorial Day. She is more than spoiled!! :)
My dad's birthday is 4 days before Alli's so they get to celebrate together. Happy Birthday Dad!!

Thanks to my mom for making her yummy chocolate cake!!!

Grandma and the kids.

The sleep over!

All Alli put on her list for her birthday was Wii Ski.

Logyn and Avri gave Alli make up and manicure stuff for her birthday. It made for a great night of entertainment at their sleep over.

My yummy and most creative cake from a box!! Ha ha! :) I just can't ever let my kids see all the amazing cakes some mom's make!

I did "draw" a soccer ball on it! That's gotta count for something...right?!
Hope you had a great birthday Alli!!!

Taylor's Snacks

Taylor just ate a popcicle and then some ice cream and just came and asked me for more ice cream. I told him that was enough, but he insisted he was still hungry. So, I told him he could have an apple, some grapes, or baby carrots. He went to the fridge and started asking for other things and I kept saying no, that he could have either fruits or veggies. He then asked for a cheese stick and again I replied "fruits or veggies." And he turned to me with that "teenage attitude" he pulls off so well, and says, "cheese is a vegetable." So there you have it folks! Go to town on cheese because, apparently, it is a vegetable.

Mother's Day

Matt and the kids gave me a fire pit for our back yard for Mother's Day, so Sat. night we had to try it out...and it was so fun! We roasted marshmallows, which I discovered I love eating, and made s'mores. We had all the joys of a camp fire with a shower and washing machine right inside! It was great!!! Here's Owen trying his first grahm cracker. He loved it until he got to the very last little bit, which he gagged on and threw up the rest!
Caden and his s'more...yum yum!!

Seriously...can we get a real smile...just once?!!

Taylor roasting 13 marshmallows!!!

Alli blowing out her "marshmallow torch"
Thanks Matt and kids for a great Mother's Day present!!! I love it! And Happy Mother's day to all you moms!!

Swine flu NO NO!!

If you don't want the swine flu, I suggest you don't do this!!!

And no! This is not one of my kids!

Two-Face

This is Caden after falling down our deck stairs and landing on his face on the cement :( He is one to look for the positive in bad situations...in this case he said he looks like Anakin (he's a big Star Wars fan!!)
