For Labor Day weekend we went camping up by Strawberry Resevoir with our good friends, the Wrights. It took a little persuasion to get me up there because of my fear of bears, but after Skylar said he would bring his dog, gun, and some bear spray for me to sleep with (which he forgot!!!!) I was in. They went up a day earlier than us, and since we have limited room in our van to pack all our camping stuff and our family, they took our MASSIVE tent up with them in their trailer and even set it up for us, so it was all ready for us when we got there...along with a nice welcome sign.
For a second there, I thought we ended up in Vegas.
That is only one side of our "hotel"
It only took Owen about 5 minutes to end up like this!
Skylar had the fabulous idea of throwing a bunch of loose change into the bushes and having the kids search for it. It kept them entertained for quite a while.
Ahhh....the fudge. Need I say more. We rode down on the Wright's ranger to get this...mmm!
The ranger. This was so fun...and the best part of all, was that every time Skylar and Matt took the kids for a ride, one of them would come back asleep (the kids, not Matt & Skylar). The ride was incredibly smooth!!
